Black Angus/Hereford Beef

Our Black Angus/Hereford beef combines the rich marbling of Angus with the legendary tenderness of Hereford. Raised right here on our pastures, every cut is sold by the pound, so you can get exactly what your family needs—from a single Sunday roast to a full freezer restock.

Raising Practices & Quality

At Carolyn Jane Farm, we believe in a balanced approach that results in superior flavor and quality. Our Black Angus/Hereford cross cattle spend their lives grazing on natural pastures, which produce leaner meat rich in omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins. For the final few months prior to processing, we add grain to their diet to enhance marbling and tenderness. This results in the rich, buttery marbling and consistent tenderness that our customers love and that is familiar to those used to conventional steaks.

We are proud to offer beef that is born and raised right here on our farm, along with our wholesome pork and farm-fresh eggs, so you can always know the source of your food.

Our hens roam and forage, producing eggs with deep orange yolks and firm whites, which are excellent for baking or a simple fry-up.

 

Pasture-Raised Pork

Raised outdoors on our family farm, our pork is a world away from the grocery store. Because our pigs have the freedom to forage with plenty of space and high-quality feed, resulting in naturally juicier meat that is packed with flavor. Available by the pound, from thick-cut chops to savory ground pork.

Our crossbred beef is known for marbling (flavor) and tenderness. Here is how to use our most popular cuts:

  • Steaks (Ribeye, Strip, Filet): Best for high-heat grilling or pan-searing. The grain finish ensures these stay juicy and tender.
  • Roasts (Chuck, Rump): Perfect for slow cookers or Dutch ovens. These "braising" cuts break down beautifully over low heat.
  • Ground Beef: Our most versatile staple. Great for burgers, tacos, or meatloaf with a rich, farm-fresh flavor.

We make it easy to stock your freezer with high-quality beef, pork, and eggs. We currently manage all orders through a simple Google Form to ensure we can track every request personally.
